It was so great to see so many parents last Wednesday at our Program Night/Meet the Teacher evening. If you were unable to make it I've included a link to the presentation to the right under "Important Links".

The students are bringing home information about the Life Saving Society's Swim to Survive Program. This is a unique opportunity reserved for only Grade 3 students in our School Board. Please read the information and return the permission form by Fri. September 27. We're looking forward to a great time!

Week #2

We had a great first week of school!

Thank you very much for sending in many items such as tissue boxes, large ziplock bags, dry erase markers, pencils, extra snacks, etc. with your child. Your contributions to our classroom will be well used and are so very appreciated!
During the first week, the students were busy familiarizing themselves with our classroom environment, expectations, and routines. Over the next few weeks, the students and I will continue to build our classroom community by learning more about each other through various team-building and all about me activities. I have also been enjoying getting to know my new students. Thank you for completing and sending back to school the green Introducing Your Child form (I gave out on the first day of school) your insights and feedback are valuable and very helpful even throughout the year.

Reminders:
*Please sign/initial your child's agenda daily.
*Students are asked to read nightly for at least 20 minutes (either with a parent or independently)

Looking Ahead to This Week:
*Wed. Sept. 11: Terry Fox Assembly (10:45am), Program Night/Meet the Teacher (6:00pm - 7:00pm)
**Brown Bag Autobiography Hwk due on or before Mon. Sept 16**

I look forward to seeing parents on Wednesday evening for Program Night!

Welcome!

Welcome to our Grade 3 (2019-2020) Class Blog!

A Prayer for the First Day of School

A school year begins!
New people to meet,
exciting new things to learn,
new discoveries about the goodness of
your world and your people, God.
But I am a little afraid.
Maybe others are too, too, even my teachers.
God of New Beginnings,
I know you are with me.
I hear you say my name.
“Go forth with my Wisdom and Spirit to learn and grow.”
Amen.
