Week #2

We had another great week together in Grade 3! I'm looking forward to meeting parents this Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00pm for Program Night.

*Please join our Classroom Community on Class Dojo. Each day, your child has the opportunity to earn points based on co-constructed criteria. You will be able to track your child's behaviour in three areas (positive, neutral, needs work).

Week #1

We had a very busy, but very enjoyable first week back to school!

Thank you for sending in many of the items from the Suggested School Supplies List such as tissue boxes, large ziplock bags, dry erase markers, glues sticks, and soap with your child. Your contributions to our classroom's community supplies will be well used and are so very much appreciated!

The students have been familiarizing themselves with our classroom expectations and routines. Over the next week or so, we will continue with a number of "Getting to Know You" activities focusing on our individual strengths, interests, and needs. Thank you for completing and sending back to school the Introducing Your Child page (I gave out on the first day of school) your insights and feedback about your child are valuable and very helpful to me.

 A Prayer for the First Day of School

A school year begins!

New people to meet,

exciting new things to learn,

new discoveries about the goodness of

your world and your people, God.

But I am a little afraid.

Maybe others are too, too, even my teachers.

God of New Beginnings,

I know you are with me.

I hear you say my name.
